استهدف الطيران الحربي الإسرائيلي في يوم الرابع
من شهر يوليو وفي التاسع والعشرين من شهر يونيو
ملعب الجامعة الإسلامية
ومقر مجلس الطلاب هادفا إلى تدمير الحياة الأكاديمية لأكثر من
17000 طالب.
إن المؤسسات الأكاديمية الفلسطينية تنشئ الأمل في قلوب الشباب
الفلسطيني وتؤسس المجتمع المتحضر الذي
يطمح إلى مستقبل مشرق،
لذا
فإن هذا الاستهداف لهذه المؤسسة الفلسطينية الرائدة من إسرائيل
يقتل الأمل ويزرع الإحباط بين الشباب.
نحن الموقعون على هذه المذكرة نوجه دعمنا لحماية المؤسسات
الأكاديمية الفلسطينية ونشجب الاعتداء الإسرائيلي عليها ونطالب
المجتمع الدولي بحماية مؤسسات المجتمع المدني الفلسطيني.

To The International Community
On June 29th and July 4th 2006, Israeli warplanes targeted
the soccer field and the student council of the Islamic
university in Gaza tempting to destroy the academic life of
more than 17,000 students.
Palestinian Academic Institutions are building hope in the
hearts of the young generation of the Palestinian people and
establish the basis for a civilized society and hope for
peaceful future; thus, by destroying this leading
Palestinian institution, Israel is killing this hope and
seeds frustration among those young generation.
We the undersigned individuals of this petition support for
protecting Palestinian academic institution, condemn the
aggression by Israel and appeal to the international
community to protect Palestinian civil institutions.
